I had that because of an infected piercing that travelled to my other piercing. It was bad. I was taking oral medication because they just thought it was a small infection. I ended up going to a different hospital (they actually knew what they were doing) and they said I had cellulitis. They started me Vancomycin through IV. It worked really well. But my cellulitis was very very bad. It was on my ear and eyebrow. And vancomycin is said to be the last resort for antibiotics for things like that. I was on the IV for 6 days. I really don't think oral medication is going to do much. It needs to get into your blood stream to get to the infection and only an IV can do that. Don't wait any longer because it's probably going to get worse and let me tell you, that's not fun. If it hasn't worked for 2 weeks, go to the hospital and start on IV. Mine cleared up in 6 days. (I had to sleep at the hospital though)
