How to get rid of cellulites?

I lose some weight, a few pounds or so due to athletic activities. And there is this orange-peel like surface on my skin. particularly in the abdomen and pelvic area. What are the conventional and practical ways to get rid of them?

Hi there, although there is not really any way to completely fully diminish the looks of cellulite, there are a couple of things you can do to help stop it from getting worse and making it appear less severe. Drink TONS of water! Make changes in your diet to reduce cellulite. A cellulite diet consists of reducing fat, sugar and calorie intake and focusing on foods that contain anti cellulite ingredients, packed with anti-oxidant power such as:
*Asparagus
*Avocado
*Bananas
*Beans
*Berries
*Bran and Oat Cereal are an excellent source of energy, high in fiber and antioxidants.
*Broccoli
*Citrus Fruits
*Nuts
*Oily Fish:Salmon, sardines, tuna, trout, herrings, mackerel and bass
*Onions
*Pears
*Pineapple
*Watermelon
Start taking a multi-vitamin to ensure you are getting all the essitial vitamins and nutrients you need. Every time you shower, EXFOLIATE! Get a lofah, a pair of those scrubby gloves or even a small shower brush, move it in circular motions all over your body to help aid in circulation which helps aid the look of cellulite, current and developing. And Always, after every shower- Moisturize! You can use a fancy cream specially formulated for cellulite if it makes you feel better but personally I just use whatever lotion or cream I have. Creams with caffeine are rumored to aid. Make sure to massage in circular motion, for at least a couple min's, sometimes reapplying the moisturizer a couple of times. This will help break up the fatty tissue underneath your skin's surface, therefore making it less noticeable. Also, do not stop exercising!
Hope these help!

Short of a procedure like "lipo", there's not much you can do. "Special" creams help only to a point, but it's more of a light-reflecting trick. They also act as a filler (or rather, a "puffer") to make the skin appear fuller... hence the lessened dimply surface. But only in minor, not severe, cellulite. On that note, tanned skin helps to hide these imperfections to an extent. If actual sun-light is not an option (not the most healthful anyhow), try spray tans or lotions... find the right one and you're set to go! Hope this helps and congrats on losing a few pounds!
