Best exercises to get rid of cellulite?

I'm very happy with my body weight/shape but I would like to firm up my legs. I'm "bottom heavy" so I carry most of my weight in my hips, butt, and thighs. What are the best exercises for toning up thighs and reducing the appearance of cellulite on the back of my legs. Serious replies only please.

Thanks Sarah MA!

I should emphasize that I'm only looking for exercise tips that have worked for others. I'm not interested in spam comments about free trials of diet supplements.

One plausible explanation - which also explains why very few men suffer from cellulite - is based on the composition and behavior of women's fat cells and the connective tissue that holds them in place. Very simply, a woman's connective tissue is very inflexible, so as females gain weight their fat cells expand, and tend to bulge upwards towards the surface of the skin, giving the classic orange-peel appearance of cellulite. In men, not only is there generally less fat on the thighs, but also the outer skin is thicker and thus obscures what is happening to any surplus fat below.

diet lifestyle hormones not enough fiber in your diet and too many carbs will add to it.

The most beneficial therapy is to control lifestyle factors. Controlling stress and anxiety are considerably beneficial

loose the weight if you want to get rid of the cellulite- it's that simple!!!

I like cycling because it focuses on your legs and both burns fat and builds muscle. I think it helps my cellulite (who invented bikini's anyway??)

No one product, machine or treatment is going to get rid of cellulite for good. Although the medical treatments do wor,k people often get the cellulite back because they continue with the same lifestyle habits. The best bet to beat cellulite is a 3 pronged attack using exercise, alterations to your diet and a cellulite cream. This method works because removes the cellulite and teaches you good habits not to get cellulite again.

what does exercise do? It burns of excess fat and tones the cellulite damaged area. things to remember when exercising:
-pick exercises that are specific to your cellulite problem area. otherwise you could be wasting your time
-focus primarily on cardiovascular exercises while executing anaerobic exercises to tone the area
-three 30min sessions per week is enough to see results but more is quicker.

Your diet is one of the biggest contributer to people cellulite. Cellulite is caused by the fat cells in the cellulite area expanding because your diet contains too much saturated fat and toxins. These make the cells expand and clump together causing the dimpled effect on the skin. couple of diet tips:
-drink more water to flush out toxins
    -try not to drink alcohol
-remove as saturated fat from your diet as possible and foods that are high in toxins
-try not to eat foods that are highly processed and high in sugar
-eat more fresh fruit and vegeatbles

What does the cellulite cream do? The cellulite has damaged your skins connective tissue and cell structure. So the body tries to repair itself but can't anywhere enough of the specific nutrients needed to repair the problem. A good cellulite supplies the nutrients desperately needed. There are a lot of creams on the market and it's hard to find the best one. Probably the best cream is from revitol their cream has great reputation of working successfully. That have a good customer service team. Good prices. But the best part is that it works. It's highly recommended you can find it here http://naturalskincaretreatments.com/

Cardio exercise is the best to combat cellulite since cellulite is fat deposit that normally accumulates in the hips, thighs, tummy and legs and a round of the exercise (3-4 times per week, for at least 30 mins per session) speeds up your metabolism and burns off the excess fat (cellulite) from your entire body.

I must stress that there's only so much cardio exercise can do to get rid of cellulite:

    1. If you already have cellulite, it only helps to make it less obvious

    2. If you haven't got cellulite, it helps to prevent the occurrence

For thigh toning, this thigh routine that helps strengthen your inner and outer thighs and build up lean muscle mass there, making them look tighter and leaner may suit your purpose: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/thigh…

    Here's a really good anti-cellulite exercise breakdown:
    http://www.cellulitetreatment.org/exerci…

    Here's what worked for me:
    - Dry brushing (not exercise, exactly, but it really did work, after a while!)

    - Pilates and deep knee bends. These are really hard at first but over time they get easier. One of my girlfriends says Spinning worked really well for her but I don't like exercise machines.

    - Cellulite cream. Give it a try if you can afford to -- cellulite cream really helped me, and it was tons easier than exercising.

Don't cross your legs or wear anything super-tight. Reducing circulation can cause cellulite.

Come back and let us know what works for you!
