5 Steps to Thinner and Cellulite-free Thighs
Living in today's society, we are bombarded with images of fat-free, cellulite-free actors and actresses who seem to be the only ones that are allowed to wear the tight dresses, ultra-mini skirts, and tight jeans. Because of the role that many of these celebrities have on our youth, and cultural lifestyle, many people give up the hope of ever being able to wear clothing that doesn't show the pesky, genetic cellulite.
Fortunately, there are ways to prevent and treat cellulite so that you have more freedom in your choice of clothing and higher self-esteem.
Five steps to thinner and cellulite-free thighs is one way to battle against this fatty tissue trapped in the connective layers under the surface of the skin.
Step One- Don't procrastinate.
You will hear a lot of people complaining about the extra weight found in the thighs, but when you ask if they are doing anything to combat it, you will find that they are doing nothing. Being busy is no excuse for not beginning an exercise program that meets your lifestyle. Also, by putting off exercise, you run the risk of even an extra amount of fat that needs to be burned off, causing a longer time period before you see results.
Step Two- Employing a healthy and proper diet.
In order to control the amount of fatty tissue in your thighs, you must refrain from sweet, and fatty foods. Increase the amounts of fruits and vegetables to stave off cravings. There are many fruits and vegetables that are considered, anti-cellulite foods. A few of these foods include, blue berries, mangoes, carrots, cranberries, tomatoes, and bananas.
Step Three- Finding exercises that you enjoy.
Some people actually enjoy going to the gym, plugging in their headphones, and walking their fat away while watching their favorite program, or listening to their favorite music. If you are a person that would rather get outside to enjoy the environment while you exercise you can go walking, jogging, mountain biking, skipping rope in your backyard, or even enroll in a dance class. Either way, finding an exercise program that you enjoy is going to cause you to be more faithful in performing the exercises needed to have thinner and cellulite-free thighs.
Step Four- Be more aware of your fashion choices.
There are always tricks to hiding cellulite and fatty tissue. By understanding these choices and dressing appropriately, you can still look and feel beautiful. A good way to make your thighs look slimmer is to wear loose, dark jeans or pants. You can also add open-toed sandals with heels to make your legs look longer and slimmer.
Step Five- Having healthy circulation.
It has been known that cellulite is a cause of problems in the circulatory system. By massaging the areas of cellulite, you can loosen fat deposits trapped under the surface of the skin. You will need to use long, sweeping motions, and this can also be performed in your bathtub using a loofa, or soft brush. To give this step even more power, you can add an anti-cellulite cream, gel, or lotion. These can be found in most retail stores. The cost of such creams, lotions, and gels vary, but by trying them out you can find the one that works best for you.

Why is the "ideal" female form that of a teenage girl? (Answers: 13) (Comments: 0)
Society expects women of all ages to aspire to look like a teenage girl. Women must be narrow waisted, unwrinkled, unsaggy, cellulite free, and without white hair.
However, if we use a teenage body as the ideal of femininity, then we are saying that the majority of women are not feminine.
Is it normal for the body of an adult woman who has given birth to be the same as the body of a teenage girl who never gave birth? No, it's rarer than you may believe. Many women who have given birth have stretch marks, and most are saggier.
However, giving birth is the most feminine thing you can do.
Wrinkles, white hair, and a wider waist -- as we get older, we change. Perhaps we should embrace these changes as part of being a woman, instead of aspiring to an ideal that is relevant to only a few years out of a woman's life.
What do you think? Is there a real REASON why the teenage body should be the feminine ideal, instead of a "Mother Earth" figure?
I agree: men are also expected to look a certain way: generally thin, muscular, full head of hair, etc.
I chose to focus my question on women, because I am a woman, and because I think the problem MAY be more severe in the case of women.
For example, older and middle-aged male actors are still considered "marketable" onscreen (Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson) and still have work, but actresses of comparable ages have a hard time getting work (Uma Thurman, Goldie Hawn).
lostokieboy:
The problem is that you are looking at actresses to determine what all women should look like. Many actresses have plastic surgery to "correct" things that are natural.
For example, all my girlfirends agree: your breasts DO sag a bit after pregnancy. Look it up in a pregnancy book. It is natural. Try "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy."
And I never said that something terrible happens to a woman's body at the age of 20. (I myself never had a single wrinkle till after age 30. I am 33.)
I understand what you are saying: "Work hard, and you too will reach the ideal".
I am questioning whether the current ideal SHOULD be the ideal. If we need suregry to attain this ideal, does it make any sense?
As for jealousy, I will admit to being jealous of those thinner than I am, as I could stand to lose a little bit of weight. However, I am very content with my looks :-)
It is not jealousy that prompted my question, simply another user recently asked about getting back her "normal" body after pregnancy, and that got me to thinking about what we consider "normal".

My simple trick to rid of cellulite. (FREE with NO catch)? (Answers: 11) (Comments: 0)
Here's a little trick I learned while surfing youtube. I was looking up how to get rid of it. it was becoming summer and i was a bit lumpy in my behind and back legs. Just for reference, im 5'3 and 9 stone.
Anyway, I was watching a video about a man who massages cellulite so it goes away. Someone asked in the comments 'Can you do this yourself at home?' Well, of course he said no. He gets paid for doing it. I found out its just trapped fat, or something like that. So i thought lets get it moving.
I am to shy to get one of them machine massagers or a massage for it so in the shower I got my puffy plastic thing (I forget whats its called) and put shower gel on it and lathered up. I rubbed HARD on the back of my legs, i saw results right away.
So this is my routine. I shower every 2 days, and With my lathered up plastic shower thing i rub (or hard massage) my bumpy bits for about 2 mins. I have been 100% cellulite free for 4 months now. It went completly after4 self massages.
So, lather up girls and get back to me to see if it works for yous to.
any1 can get cellulite. i have seen it oon sskinny people aswell. men CAN get it aswell. my ex did.
